SUNY Cortland invites you to TransAction 2024, the 6th annual conference about the needs and experiences of transgender and gender queer students in the college environment.
This year’s conference will responding to the legal and cultural war against transgender and nonbinary people. Keynotes and breakout sessions will deliberately focus on enhancing and expanding allyship, as well as discussions on how to support trans students in all educational settings. Community organizations will also be tabling throughout the event.

Colt St. Amand, Ph.D., M.D. (he/they) is licensed psychologist and board certified Family Medicine physician who serves as the medical director of the Gender Wellness Center of the Bassett Health Network in upstate New York. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Houston and in the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. Dr. Colt specializes in research, consultation, training, and clinical treatment with transgender and gender diverse people of all ages in their families. Dr. Colt has published dozens of peer-reviewed research articles in the field of gender health. He served as an author of the most recent World Professional Association of Transgender Health Standards of Care, specifically the Hormone Therapy chapter. They serve as the Chief Educational Officer of the Gender U, an online education platform educating providers on caring for transgender and gender diverse people. Dr. Colt was a founder of Gender Infinity, a Texas based education and support organization.
