Athletics Challenge

Over $10,000 is on the line...

We are excited to announce the 2nd annual Athletics Challenge. Thanks to the generosity of John Belmonte '85, Anthony '86 and Susan Moon and the C-Club Board the competition is on...again! The challenges are a little different this year, so be sure to read through the rules below.

The Challenges:

  • Meet the Goal:

    • Teams will be split in to 3 groups, based on the size of their alumni base, and given a goal to meet. These are:
      • Small group = 25 unique donors
      • Medium group = 50 unique donors
      • Large group = 75 unique donors
    • The first team in each group to meet their unique donor goal will receive $500.
    • Every subsequent team to meet their unique donor goal will receive $100.
  • Most Unique Donors

    • At the end of the day the team with the most unique donors in each category will win $1,000.
  • Highest Average Gift:

    • At the end of the day the overall team that has the highest average giving per unique donor will receive $1,000.
      • This is calculated by dividing the total dollars raised by the total number of unique donors.
      • Only teams that have met the donor goal of their category will be eligible for this prize.
  • Most Dollars Raised:

    • The team that raises the most overall money for the entire day will receive $2,000, a trophy and bragging rights until next year's challenge.

A Few Things to Know:

  • You can give to more than one team and you will be considered a unique donor to each. However, if you give to the same team more than once you will still only count as one unique donor (but the extra money WILL go toward earning the prize for Most Dollars Raised).
  • If you would like to give to more than 1 team or would like to give to a team and another allocation you can use this link to GIVE NOW.
  • Anyone can participate in the Challenge (alumni, parents, students, Nanna, your neighbor, ANYONE!).
  • The goal trackers below will automatically update when you give online, but since we will be receiving gifts over the phone and on campus as well, the goal trackers do not necessarily reflect the winning team. An announcement will be made on the website, via email and over social media of who the winners are for each challenge.

Good Luck and Go Red Dragons!
